President’s International Student Scholarship
(Undergraduate Students)

Florida Atlantic University offers a limited number of President’s Scholarships specifically for international students on F-1 or J-1 visas. 

Freshmen:
$6,000 awarded annually and renewable up to four years for qualified freshmen students on F-1 or J-1 visa. Eligibility requirements include: 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 U.S. grading scale, SAT, ACT or CLT scores, and proof of English proficiency. 

Transfer:
$6,000 awarded annually and renewable up to three years for qualified transfer students on F-1 or J-1 visa. Eligibility requirements include: 3.5 transfer GPA or higher, two years of university (up to 60 credits), or an AA degree, and proof of English proficiency.

No scholarship application is required. These scholarships are competitive and all eligible candidates are automatically considered upon admission to the University. 

To be considered for these international merit scholarships, students must submit a complete admissions application by these deadlines:

Fall:      January 15 (priority); March 15 (regular)

Spring:  August 15 (priority); October 15 (regular)

Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Scholarship
(Undergraduate Students)

This scholarship provides an opportunity for high achieving students from Latin America and the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) to study at Florida Atlantic University while receiving in-State tuition. In addition to in-State rates, this award provides students with a $500 per semester scholarship.

The LAC scholarship is currently available through the following Colleges at Florida Atlantic:

No scholarship application is required. These scholarships are competitive and all eligible candidates are automatically considered upon admission to the University. 

To be considered for the Latin American & Caribbean scholarship, students must be on an F-1 student visa and have at least a 3.0 admissions GPA. Students must submit a complete admissions application by these deadlines:

Spring:    August 15 (priority); October 15 (regular)

IELTS USA Andrea Scott International Graduate Scholarship

The Dr. Alejandra Parra Higher Education Scholarship

Florida Israel Institute
(Undergraduate and Graduate Students)
Florida Statute 288.8175 establishes linkage institutes between state postsecondary institutions and certain foreign countries/regions. The Western Union Global Scholarship Program
(Undergraduate Students)
The Western Union Foundation and IIE partner to advance global scholarship and improve the education and employment opportunities for students around the world by providing tuition funds to students from low-income countries, primarily in the STEM, Business, and Entrepreneurship fields. Students must be in their last or 2nd to last year of undergraduate study.

Opportunity Funds + Education USA Ukraine

The program provides funds to Ukrainian students at any level of higher education who received full financial aid for their studies in the US  or need to cover up to $5,000 from their own funds but who do not have the financial means to cover visa and travel costs.
